VCH will soon welcome nine new nurse practitioners to its health care team, bringing the total number working in the region to 49.

A revised AWP brochure will be sent out to all employees with the last February pay statement and will include the average sick leave ratio for 2013.

Aboriginal Health Strategic Initiatives is collaborating with the VCH ReAct Adult Protection Program to host a region-wide professional development session regarding adult abuse, neglect and self-neglect response.

February 11th – 15th is Heart Failure Awareness week, which aims to raise awareness about the causes and signs and symptoms of heart failure (HF) and how people can best manage their condition.

A documentary TV series starts filming next week in the VGH emergency department and other supporting units and wards. The series will give the public a behind-the-scenes look at what goes on in one of Canada’s busiest emergency departments.
