Animals spread joy amongst Evergreen House residents

Submitted by Gary Carr

Smiles were wide on Evergreen House (EGH) residents on Tuesday, July 31 when a small barnyard of animals visited the patio of the North Vancouver residential care facility. The animals were courtesy of an EGH resident’s daughter who owns a farm in Abbotsford.

The much-loved animals — a pony (Stormy), a burro (Princess), two young goats and two young sheep — will soon be appearing at the upcoming Pacific National Exhibition (PNE).

EGH recreation therapy staff were kept busy as dozens of residents came to visit the friendly animals on the patio of the residential care facility, brightening an already sunny day for all who were there.
