North Shore staff BBQ contributes to Foundation campaign in Persian style

A big thank you to everyone who turned out to the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation’s 2013 Staff BBQ yesterday and helped raise more than $3600 for the hospital’s Nuclear Medicine Campaign!

The LGH gym was alive at noon with traditional Persian dancing and music from North Vancouver’s highly regarded Nava Art Centre and entertainer Pouya. The kebab feast generously donated by Cazba Restaurant was served up by jovial members of the Ambleside Tiddlycove Lions Club and local Golestan Bakery was handing out cookies to go while Sodexa kindly provided ice cream.

Congratulations to all raffle winners and special thanks to staff from the Nuclear Medicine Department plus Mehri Parsi, Minoo Allagha and Lori Baker for all their help in getting the event well organized! And thanks as well to Dr. Phil Cohen for agreeing to match all donations for the current Nuclear Medicine Campaign.
