Coastal staff say goodbye to long-time Co-Sr. Medical Director

It’s with warm wishes and good humour that Coastal staff will be sending Dr. John Maynard off into retirement after almost 30 years of service at Lions Gate Hospital (LGH).

John’s current role has been as Co-Senior Medical Director for Coastal as well as the Director of Risk Management and Client Relations.

After a career that has spanned more than four decades, John has held a wide variety of positions after graduating from University of Calgary in 1974. Prior to his current role, John has served in a number of others including as:

• President, North Shore Medical Society
• Deputy Chief & then Chief of the Dept of General Practice
• Chief of Staff
