A new bike rack conveniently located outside of the HOpe Centre has added significant capacity for locking up bikes.

North Shore cyclists encouraged to participate in Bike to Work Week May 25 – 31

New bike racks and cages (photos below) on the LGH campus will make it easier for Vancouver Coastal Health staff and physicians to take part in next week’s Bike to Work Week activities that will be going on across the Lower Mainland.

Coastal Health staff and physicians from across the North Shore are encouraged to try commuting by bike and take advantage of some free mechanic services and light snacks at LGH on:

Wednesday, May 27

7 – 9:30 am (at the corner of HOpe Centre, St. Andrews & 13th)

Those cyclists who are willing to log their daily bike trips each week, or sign up for a VCH team, will be eligible to win some great prizes through the Bike Hub site.

In last week’s VCH News story there are links to info on how to win a trip for 2 to Europe or a new bike as part of Bike to Work Week promotions going on across Greater Vancouver.

The activities at VCH facilities are being organized by the Lower Mainland Integrated Protection Services, who are responsible for the implementation of various commuter services programs/initiatives throughout the Lower Mainland.VCH News -- LGH bike cages -- photo #3
