Scholarly pursuits rewarded for two LGH nurses

Two LGH nurses were awarded with Nursing Week scholarships as part of Coastal’s annual celebration of the profession last week.

Jennifer Krzyczkowski is a Registered Nurse at LGH currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Nursing at UBC. Kimberly Concepcion, a full-time LPN in the LGH float pool who will be attending the BSN Transition program at Langara to become an RN.

Both were deserving recipients of funds from the Jack Davis Fund, a fund established in honour of the former Member of Parliament and Member of the Legislative Assembly to benefit general nursing staff education. On an annual basis since 2002, the Department of Professional Practice awards two scholarships to North Shore nurses pursuing higher education within the profession.
