CST roadshow attracts about 500 staff at LGH

Last week about 500 staff came out to get a sneak peak at one of the 42 roadshow events throughout Lions Gate Hospital and the HOpe Centre. It was a great chance to learn firsthand about how CST will improve the quality, safety and consistency of patient care. Participants had many great questions (over 200!) and the CST team is working to respond to each and every one.

Cerner clinical strategist Sarah Fletcher (L-R), and CST transformational consultants Vivian So and Davina Gallagher demonstrated what the new system will look like to about 500 staff at Lions Gate Hospital last week.

The journey continues along the Sea-to-Sky corridor for a targeted series of clinical transformation workshops. These hands-on engagement opportunities allow for clinicians and physicians to provide valuable feedback on a prototype version of the new clinical information system. Whistler Health Care Centre hosted a workshop earlier this week, and subsequent workshops are scheduled for the end of the month in Pemberton and Squamish.

Plans are also underway to meet with the Residential Care teams and those programs and specialties that were not included as part of last week’s roadshow.

We’re only getting started

The CST team continues to plan more opportunities for staff to interact with the clinical information system. In addition, there will be a self-guided demo package made available to those staff unable to attend any of the roadshow events.

The CST Hub, located in the old library at LGH, is also beginning its transformation. Staytuned for more information about its grand opening.

We have a winner!

Thanks again to everyone who came out.  The WINNER of the Sea-to-Sky gondola pass is: Marilou Bawar, MDR technician Congrats!

    Hi Deborah,
Thank you so much for your interest in the self-guide demo package! Our Learning team here at CST is in the process of finalizing the content and once we complete it, we will make it available on a CST web-page that staff and providers can access in early January. In addition, we will share this and other learning resources with local educators and managers from the Coastal community. If you have any other questions about the learning materials, please feel free to contact the CST Learning Team at learn@cstproject.ca
