Changes to management team

I am writing to announce that Sue Goulding, Program Manager – ICU, 2 South and Respiratory Therapy, has accepted a position with the VCH Quality and Patient Safety team. Effective Tuesday, October 15th, Sue will take on the role of project manager and will be based in the Vancouver office.

Sue began working at Richmond Hospital in 1988 as a Staff Nurse and Team Leader in the ICU. For over ten years, she held the role of ICU Clinical Educator, where she developed, coordinated and delivered various critical care courses, including the Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy program. Following this tenure, Sue assumed the roles of Program Manager for Community Transitions, RH Acute Medicine, and most recently RH Critical Care, High Acuity and Respiratory Therapy. Sue is an advocate of lean management and was instrumental in introducing Releasing Time to Care to 2 South.

Please join me in thanking Sue for her service and contributions to the Richmond Community of Care, and in wishing her best of luck in her new role.

Going forward, and on an interim basis, I have appointed Rich Dillon, Program Manager – Emergency and Cardiopulmonary Services, to assume management responsibilities for ICU. Gail Malenstyn, PCC on 2 South, will assume the role of Interim Program Manager for 2 South and Respiratory Therapy. These changes will take effect Friday October 11.
