Research projects highlighted at Rounds

Four Richmond point–of–care research projects were presented at this week’s VCH-Richmond Interdisciplinary Ground Rounds:

  • Client Centeredness in the Acute Home Based Treatment Team – Brittany Graham, OT & Erika Martens, OT
  • Increasing home practice completed by parents of preschool children with articulation difficulties through a standardized parent training protocol – Andrea Gates, RSLP & Marcy Adler-Brock, RSLP
  • Factors that influence nursing management of delirium in older adults – Cheryl Chan, RN
  • Breastfeeding in the Neonatal ICU – Helping mothers identify and estimate milk transfer after breastfeeding their preterm infant – Danette Zanatta, RN & Mandy Smith, RN & Sylvia Martin, RN

The teams conducted their research over the past year and participated in last year’s VCH Research Challenge, offered by VCH Professional Practice and the VCH Research Institute for point-of-care nursing and allied health staff.
