Health Care Staff Appreciation Event

Dozens of staff, physicians and volunteers stopped by on Friday to celebrate the Milan Ilich Pavilion and main floor hospital renovations at our Health Care Staff Appreciation event and mark Richmond Hospital Foundation’s Community Cares Month.

Participants were treated to light refreshments and celebration cake, encouraged to visit the services in the new atrium and get their passports stamped for a chance to win prizes, received a 20% discount all day at the Auxiliary Gift Shop, completed ballots for a pair of tickets to the upcoming Johnny Reid concert, purchased raffle tickets for a pair of Westjet tickets, and posed for group photos.

About Community Cares Month

Previously named Community Cares Day, the 7th Annual Community Cares Month presented by TELUS has expanded to the entire month of September, featuring radio broadcasts throughout the month with Fairchild Radio (AM1470 & FM96.1) and CHMB AM1320, campaign partnerships with local businesses and organizations, and various promotional activities throughout the month with activities such as donation booths at local malls and the hospital, a “street team” to cheer on the cause, all day pledge phone lines to collect donations, and an evening telethon program on national Fairchild Television.
