Richmond celebrates Physiotherapy Month

Physiotherapists are instrumental in improving mobility and keeping people active.

A good example of this comes from Lyn Jones, one of the patients currently attending VCH Richmond’s Outpatient Physiotherapy Program. Here’s what she had to say:Get your ready for spring

“I have been coming to Richmond Hospital Outpatient Physiotherapy Department for the past three weeks, following a complete knee replacement. My physiotherapist is kind, friendly and knowledgeable. She treats me with respect as she teaches me to bend my knee within pain tolerance, to strengthen my leg and use my body mechanics correctly. She gives me exercises I can do at home and I see constant improvement. With her help and encouragement, I will make a full recovery and be able to walk without pain.”

The first 20 people who register will have access to loaner poles.

Hope to see you there!
