Grateful patients say thank you for the care they’ve received at Richmond Hospital’s ED and OASIS program.

Richmond residents say thank you for exemplary care

“A sweetheart and an angel”

I would like to compliment the emergency staff at Richmond Hospital. My 4 year old son had a severe nosebleed and they were very professional, caring and helped me — a distraught mom — to calm down. They were so kind and helped calm my son by giving reassuring, constant communication… The follow up nurse, Sarah, was also wonderful who helped my little boy feel extra special. She managed even to find two stickers in the middle of the night that matched his minion socks and spiderman shoes. A sweetheart and angel. She also provided excellent care by examining my son thoroughly given it was just a nosebleed. Last but not least, Dr. Fong was very reassuring and helped explain the intricacies of the problem. Although it was middle of the night, he was very thorough in his examination. I am very grateful for the emergency staff that helped us between 2-4 a.m. at Richmond Hospital. I hope this gets back to management and they are complimented on their excellent management of a difficult situation. I am very impressed with the healthcare attention that was given.

“Courteous, professional and caring”

On June 30, 2017, I had a total arthroplasty of my knee. I want you to know that every one of the staff I dealt with were extremely courteous, professional and caring. I especially want to commend Ms. Stephanie Chung of the OASIS team for her expertise in providing information both pre and post-op. I would also like to commend Jennifer, the nurse on shift during the day on 4, for her patience and care. It certainly made my stay at your facility pleasant, considering the circumstances. I’ve left out the names of the many others that I dealt with, but each one of them should know that they’re doing an excellent job.
