National Volunteer Week runs April 15 to 21 and is a great opportunity for us to show our appreciation for the services volunteers provide at sites and in programs and services across the Richmond Community of Care.

Thank a volunteer during National Volunteer Week

On behalf of VCH Richmond staff, I would like to express a heartfelt “thank you” to our 750 amazing volunteers and to recognize their contributions to quality health care in our community.

National Volunteer Week, April 15 to 21,  is a great opportunity for us to show our appreciation for the services volunteers provide in support of our patients, clients, residents, families and visitors.  Our volunteers give generously of their personal time to help others and this is an inspiration for us all.

This past year VCH Richmond volunteers donated over 70,000 hours of service at Richmond Hospital, Minoru Residence, Lions Manor, Lions Park and community programs.  Auxiliary volunteers raised money to benefit patients and residents at the Gift Shops, Lottery and Steveston Thrift Shop.

Speaking from your heart is the best way to let volunteers know that you appreciate what they do.  This April, take a moment to thank a VCH Richmond volunteer you know!

With warm regards,

Jennifer MacKenzie,

Chief Operating Officer, VCH Richmond
