Patient praises ED staff, physicians and paramedics for making her feel less scared and alone during an unexpected trip to Richmond Hospital.

“I was alone, and scared, but felt enormously comforted by the care I received”

Just wanted to take the time to thank the nurses and doctor who cared for me this week in the ED at Richmond Hospital.

I arrived at Vancouver airport from Toronto in some medical distress. I was given superior care by at the airport by the paramedics; this superior care continued by the paramedics who took me to the hospital.  They took care of everything, including calling the hotel to advise that I would be checking in very late.  I was alone, and scared, but  felt enormously comforted by the care I received.  I just wish I could remember the names of all the paramedics, nurses, technicians, doctors who helped me last night.

If you have any way of identifying them, please let them know how grateful and appreciative I am.  They may remember me as the patient from Tuktoyaktuk, NWT.  My most sincere thank you to everyone involved in my care.

A grateful patient.
