Mahler: Symphony No. 4 in G Major

An evening with beautiful music by Mozart and Mahler, conducted by Bramwell Tovey, Mahler’s Fourth Symphony is the last of his ‘Wunderhorn” symphonies, built around a song called Heaven’s Life from Des Knaben Wunderhorn, a song that describes a child’s view of heaven.  This lovely song is sung by soprano, Kathleen Brett, in the final movement of the symphony. **this performance is at The Chan Centre at UBC.**

Please note: The VSO is a not for profit organization that needs financial support. Most support comes from the sale of tickets at full, advertised prices. If you feel you can buy tickets directly we urge you to do so. Please check out their website www.vancouversymphony.ca for a more detailed description and excerpts of the performances listed and other really great concerts. You may be surprised at how reasonable the cost for this and other concerts are for subscribers.
