VSO and Spring–A perfect match!

The Volunteer Resources Department for VGH/UBCH/GFS & GPC, in partnership with Artsway and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, is again offering staff the opportunity to attend the concerts listed below for a minimum donation of $10 cash per ticket. This donation will be used to support Artsway and volunteer programs within our portfolio. Artsway is the presentation name of Health Arts Society, which is dedicated to bringing profession performing arts to audiences in healthcare sites.

 

The Little Russian Symphony

Tchaikovsky’s: Symphony No. 2 in C minor, Little Russian

The epic Brahmas Piano Concerto No. 2 is tackled by the extraordinary Canadian pianist Avan Yu on a program that also features Tchaikovsky’s beautiful and joyous Little Russian Symphony.

 

Pre-Concert Talk:

Pre-concert talk by Mathew McFarlane, CBC producer and Radio 2’s In Concert quizmaster at 7:05 in the auditorium, free to ticket holders.

To take advantage of this fundraising program, please note:

  • Bring exact cash donation amount.
  • You must come to our office in person.
  • Tickets will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.
  • You must accept the seats/section as offered.
  • We do not accept orders over the phone, by email or mail them to other sites.
  • Call 604-875-5277 for recorded updates on ticket availability.

Please note: The VSO is a not for profit organization that needs financial support. Most support comes from the sale of tickets at full, advertised prices.
