VIDEO: Let’s play ball, Vancouver!

Vancouver’s video — Let’s play ball, Vancouver! — follows on the heels of our popular VCH video —True North: Picturing the Possibilities. Watch this made-for-Vancouver video (it’s less than 2 minutes long!), and learn how we’re seeking your great ideas and solutions to knock it out of the park!

Together, we’ll cross the home plate

Starting in April, managers will meet with their teams to develop local action plans for achieving our True North goals. Together, teams will identify projects or initiatives they’ll undertake — or that they’re undertaking already — to make a difference for our patients, clients, communities, and friends and colleagues.

“Over the coming months, we’ll engage every corner of Vancouver — at every level — to help us determine how we can align our work to our True North goals,” explains Jennifer Vornbrock, Vancouver’s director of strategy deployment.

Everyone has a role in our success, and every team will have the opportunity to determine how it can help our Community of Care make significant breakthroughs in two areas: aligning capacity and demand, and enhancing staff engagement. Teams will determine how they can improve day-to-day operations, too.

Local action plans will be integrated into our Vancouver Strategic Plan in September, when we should well on our way to achieving our goals. Together, we’ll cross the home plate.
