2013 Family Caregiver Forum: Celebrating Family Caregivers

Are you one of more than one million people in British Columbia who provide unpaid care for a spouse, adult family member of friend who is in poor health, disabled or elderly? Or do you know someone who is?

The Vancouver Coastal Health Caregiver Support Program invites friends and family caregivers to join us as at our upcoming Family Caregiver Forum, taking place Sunday, May 5. The forum is held annually in celebration of provincial Family Caregiver Week, May 4 to 10. .

Family caregivers are unsung heroes and deserve recognition for their dedication and commitment to improving the quality of life for their friends and family members, often under conditions which impede their own physical, emotional and financial health and wellness.

The caregiver forum is a chance to acknowledge the incredible contributions family and friends make and will provide a venue for caregivers to meet and network with one another, to share experiences, and to take time to focus on their own self-care and wellness.

This free event will feature interactive workshops, refreshments, door prizes, and musical entertainment.
