May 24: plan for traffic disruptions on VGH campus

On Friday, May, 24, 2013, Thurber Geotechnical Engineers will be conducting geotechnical investigations on the VGH campus as part of our preparatory work to relocate VGH medical gas tanks. Road Closed

Between 0800 and 1600 hours, we can anticipate noise and traffic disruptions in the following areas of the VGH campus (please refer to our map as well):

  •  the service road between the Health Centre and Heather Pavilion
  • the grass area west of Banfield Pavilion
  • the loading ramp at Jim Pattison Pavilion North

To minimize disruptions, please note that:

  • efforts will be made to maintain single-lane traffic between the Health Centre and Heather Pavilion
  • traffic will not be obstructed between the VGH Research Pavilion and Centennial Pavilion
  • ATC Traffic Control will be providing support and directing traffic
