One Vancouver: Acute and Community leaders added their personal and team accomplishments to our 2013 Wall of Fame banner.

An extra-ordinary VLF for an extra-ordinary team

For our Vancouver Leaders’ Forum (VLF) in May, we promised an inclusive celebration of our collective and individual successes, lively presentations and discussion on topics that will affect you and your team in the year ahead. The result was a jam-packed auditorium where audience members took centre stage to share their program or portfolio achievements of the past year.

Sharing a laugh: Before the formal agenda began, the group enjoyed refreshments, catching up with colleagues and sharing a laugh.

In my humble opinion, I think we achieved our goal, but don’t take my word for it. We asked Vancouver’s leaders for feedback on the event and here’s just some of what they had to say:

  • 88% agreed they enjoyed hearing how different programs and portfolios contributed to our achievements last year
  • 80% agreed they have a better understanding of how Vancouver’s achievements align with our True North goals
  • 71% agreed that our Vancouver priorities for the coming year are clear to them
  • 78% agreed attending VLF was a good use of their time

In their own words: Audience members took centre stage for much of the agenda to share their team highlights and accomplishments.
