Long service and lasting friendships at GFS

About 100 GF Strong (GFS) staff recently gathered for good reason. They came to celebrate decades of service and career-spanning friendships.

Forty-one GFS staff are marking at least 10 years of continuous service with VCH this year. Altogether, the group represents an astounding 785 years of hard work, dedication and client care. The close friendships forged over that time will last a lifetime.

“Clients tell us they feel like they’re part of a community here,” says Cori Ross, operations director of GF Strong. “That culture is created by dedicated staff, people who genuinely care about what they do, the people they care for and the people they work with. It’s exciting to see the level of commitment and passion staff continue to bring to their work.”

To celebrate in style, a professional photographer was onsite to snap and print pics on the spot. Staff celebrants also received chocolate treats, fresh flowers and, of course, their service pins.

Judging by the laughter and smiles, celebrating career milestones with trusted colleagues and longtime friends makes the event even sweeter.
