Jackson Lam new ICU patient services manager

We are thrilled to announce that Jackson Lam has officially accepted the role of role of patient services manager (PSM) – Critical Care (ICU) at Vancouver General Hospital.

Over the past seven months Jackson has been providing interim support in the PSM role, and quickly demonstrated his professionalism, commitment to the program, support for staff, and leadership acumen. Jackson has certainly transitioned seamlessly, taking on leadership for several unit-based and regional initiatives, as well as supporting the staff through the 37.5-hour work week implementation.

Prior to taking on the interim role, Jackson had worked as an RN in the VGH ICU for the past 13 years. Jackson has had the opportunity to participate in the Critical Care Outreach Team, the Code Team and to act as an interim patient care coordinator on the unit.   Jackson also has experience within the Patient Flow and Access Portfolio and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the Memorial University of Newfoundland.

I know that you will join us in officially welcoming Jackson to the permanent PSM position, and will continue to support his success in leading this exceptional team.
