It’s the bee’s knees!

In celebration of National Nursing Week, the VGH Burn, Plastics & Trauma (BPTU) team held their third annual “Cupcake War”. Staff stirred, sifted and sprinkled for the title of best cupcake and mouth-watering prizes. The competition was tough but the winner was bee-yond compare!

Our distinguished panel of judges gladly tasted every submission, judging each cupcake on presentation, taste and creativity. The winners were each awarded a bottle of wine, as well as a gift certificate to the Gourmet Warehouse for $75, $50 or $25, depending on placement.

    Thanks for your interest.
    I was inspired by this Donna Hay recipe. Then adapted it to cupcakes. I also used a lemon curd and meringue icing recipe I had on hand, but the differences are minimal!
