Home Health staff meets assessment challenge

Vancouver Community Home Health Teams were faced with a daunting challenge in July — bring the completion rate of overdue RAI MDS assessments up to 85 per cent by September 11.

To meet the target, staff completed approximately 500 overdue RAI MDS assessments. All within a two-month time frame, and over-and-above current workloads.

“I am thrilled to be able to congratulate Home Health staff on a job well done,” said Laura Case, Chief Operating Officer, Vancouver Community. “We know that this phenomenal achievement didn’t come without incredible effort and dedication on the part of everyone involved.”

Especially impressive is that this achievement was accomplished during peak vacation time and in the midst of juggling competing demands. Home Health’s dedication to teamwork also shone through with everyone (regular full time, part time and casual staff) willing to pitch in and help. Some even came out of retirement to help.

“Our Home Health Teams have proven to everyone that their skill, dedication, passion and excellence is truly extraordinary,” said Shannon Hopkins, Director, Home Health Services. “I know I speak for leadership across Vancouver Community in sincerely thanking you all for your exemplary efforts. Congratulations on a job well done!”
