Canucks tickets now available

As so many of our staff know, people sometimes arrive here in very dire straits – physically, emotionally, and materially. All of us try to ensure that when our patients leave, they are in better shape than when they arrived. Sometimes, the clothing they were wearing when they were admitted cannot be returned to them when they are discharged, and some of our patients cannot afford to pay for new clothing. When this happens, Volunteer Resources – Vancouver Acute and Residential Care provides the patient with what they need. To cover that cost and many others, including the cost of recognizing the hundreds of volunteers who work at VGH, UBC Hospital, GF Strong, George Pearson Centre, Dogwood Lodge and Banfield Pavilion, our department raises money by selling tickets to Canucks home games.

Once again we are asking VCH employees, physicians, Residents, and students, as well as the staff of our contractors, to express their support for volunteers and to help those patients who are most in need by buying Canucks tickets from Volunteer Resources – Vancouver Acute and Residential Care. This is a great cause, and – if Trevor Linden knows what he is talking about – the Canucks should be a great team this year.

We have tickets in the Upper Bowl II to 22 Vancouver Canucks home games. Each is priced 10% LOWER than face value – and unlike Ticketmaster, we do not charge an additional handling fee.

Tickets

To order tickets from Volunteer Resources, download and print the VCH 2014-15 Canucks Tickets Order Form,
complete it, scan it, and email it with the word ‘Canucks’ in the subject line to vhvolunteer@vch.ca.

We will respond ASAP to let you know if we have the tickets you’ve requested. Quantities are limited, so get your orders in early. Your chances of getting tickets are much higher if you indicate on the order form what your first, second and third choices for games are. Only emailed orders that include your full name, credit card number and your signature will be accepted. Please do not fax the form to us or provide a hard copy. For the first time this year, we are accepting payment by credit card only – no cash or cheques.

To start the season off with a bang, we are offering tickets to two exhibition games at the low, low price of $54.00 each. The first game will be on Friday, September 26, at 7:00pm v Calgary. The second is Saturday, October 4, at 7:00pm v Edmonton. These tickets will go fast, so get your orders in early.

Wondering whether tickets are still available for a specific game? Got another question? Email the manager of Volunteer Resources – Vancouver Acute and Residential Care: greg.terpenning@vch.ca
