Take steps to stay safe

The construction site for the Joseph & Rosalie Segal Family Health Centre (JRSFHC) is taking shape. Fencing and signage have been erected, new pedestrian paths and crossings have been installed in the VGH inner courtyard, and parking and pedestrian maps have been distributed to key patient contact points.

Every effort will be made to safeguard passersby from construction activity. Heavy traffic will be concentrated between 7 and 9 am and 2 and 4 pm, while traffic control personnel will direct pedestrians. To ensure everyone’s safety, we ask for your cooperation too.

How to stay safe

  • Plan ahead: Vehicular and pedestrian traffic through the VGH inner courtyard will be limited. Plan for trips to take more time or, better yet, use an alternate route to reach your destination.
  • Follow designated paths: Use the designated pedestrian crossings, marked pedestrian paths and sidewalks to stay safe. Jaywalking and foot traffic outside the designated areas put your safety at risk.
