Win a photo shoot with your best work buddy!

Best friends at work make great work partners, cheerleaders and champions. The professional camaraderie and personal support of great friends enhance our work environment and help us achieve our personal and shared goals — and we think that’s something worth celebrating!

BWB Contest is on!

Vancouver’s Best Work Buddy Contest — aka BWB Contest — is for everyone who calls one (or more) coworkers a best work friend. All Vancouver physicians, staff and LMC colleagues working in partnership with us are welcome to participate — and the more you participate, the more chances you have to win.

Prizes and more prizes!

For the next 10 weeks, we’re offering not one — but two — weekly prizes. Then, on September 24, we’ll announce the grand prize winner. Everyone who submits an entry will be submitted into the draw for the Grand Prize.

  • Weekly prizes (July 16 – Sept 17): 2 $10 coffee cards (1 card per pair/group of friends)
  • Grand prize (Sept 24): A 1-hour private photo shoot with a professional photographer at a location of your choosing within Vancouver city limits. You could have your photo taken at work, at home or at your favourite Vancouver park or beach.

Best-Work-Buddies-Selfie4-RGBHow to enter to win

Step 1: Prepare your entry*

Take a selfie or find a copy of that favourite pic of you and your BWB (you know the one!). To complete your entry, include the following details in an email:

  • Provide you and your BWB’s first and last names, job titles and work location(s).
  • Identify who’s who in your picture — are you on the left or right … or?
  • Tell us when and how you first met.
  • Share what you admire most about each other.

Step 2: Submit your entry

Attach your photo to your email and send it by 12 pm Wednesday to OneVancouver@vch.ca. Please use the email subject line “BWB Contest”.

Step 3: Repeat!

The more weeks you enter, the better your odds of winning the Grand Prize! We’ll accept entries every week starting today until 12 pm Wednesday, September 16.

All photo entries will be posted to our VCH Flickr site here

In my 23 years of working at St. Mary’s Hospital I have met many incredible “Work Buddies”. I could not pick out only one or two as it is the group as a whole that keeps many of us working here. Starting at Totem Lodge in 1993 through the many areas I have worked at what is now Sechelt Hospital the comoderie is absolutely amazing. Majority of the staff are always there for each and every one of us. That is what makes our work place what it is.
