They’re Best Work Buddies (BWBs) and they’re this week’s BWB Contest winners. This week they’ve won a $10 coffee card — but that’s not all! They’re also entered in the Grand Prize draw  for a 1-hour private photo shoot with a professional photographer. And you could be, too!

Vancouver’s BWB Contest is for everyone who calls one (or more) coworkers a best work friend. All Vancouver Community of Care physicians, staff and LMC colleagues working in partnership with us are welcome to participate — and the more you participate, the more chances you have to win.

Where do you work?

The Lung Centre at VGH.

How did you meet?

“We first met in May 2015 when Zori Kaneva first got hired at the Lung Centre, and we instantly became best friends.”

What do you admire most about each other?

“We all admire the fact that we can always count on each other and all three of us have an amazing sense of humor. We like trying new activities such as hiking, biking and zip lining. We are not only Best Work Buddies, but we are also best friends outside of work.”

Where do you work?

Endoscopy Clinic at VGH.

How did you meet?

“We’ve been working together at clinic since 1994. This will be 21 years and 3 months together.”

What do you admire most about each other?

“We are like 2 peas in a pod. We share many similarities in everyday life. We have the same work ethics and standards. We act as each other’s sounding board. We have been through easy times and hard times. Best of all we are excellent travel buddies as you see here in this photo which was taken in Chicago by the BEAN.”
