New website for VGH Trauma Services

VGH Trauma Services is pleased to announce the launch of vghtrauma.vch.ca. A one-stop information shop of all that Trauma Services has to offer to those caring for patients along the trauma continuum.

“This website was created to connect healthcare providers and medical students, provincially, nationally and internationally with the Trauma Center at VGH,” said Dr Naisan Garraway, medical director of the VGH Trauma Program. “Now we have a faster and more convenient way of sharing our Clinical Practice Guidelines, advertising our courses and educational opportunities, highlighting our research initiatives and showcasing our work in injury prevention”

About VGH Trauma Services

The VGH Trauma Center is the accredited adult Level 1 Trauma Center in British Columbia, Canada.  VGH is responsible for providing tertiary and major trauma care, including complex and unique (quaternary) trauma services for the province. As the Level I trauma center, VGH provides the highest level of care, around-the-clock for injured patients from resuscitation through rehabilitation. Emergency physicians, surgeons, surgical specialists, nurses, anesthesiologists and other professionals are always in house and available to provide immediate care.

The Trauma Center is a leader in academic programming, trauma training and research in affiliation with UBC. The Center also provides leadership in injury prevention, undergraduate, postgraduate, fellowship teaching, community outreach, education and trauma system planning.
