Meet your new carpooling buddy at one of our Carpool Meet & Greets throughout February

What if your car was in the shop? Or if your partner left early Tuesday mornings, and you’re not keen on a 45 minutes coffee break before work?

Knowing a few neighbours who commute to your same workplace might help. But knowing a few coworkers who repeat a similar to/from pattern of commuting definitely WOULD help.

They are your prospective carpooling buddies and connecting with them could make your life easier, more convenient and cheaper – once, twice or ten times a week. Even if just on the occasional Tuesday morning drive.

After a month of CARPOOL to VGH promotions, the most revealing discovery has been that carpooling can be flexible – as flexible as you need it. (But only if you know a few neighbours who work close by!)

So to close out February, we will be hosting a last series of Meet & Greet events to help staff across the VGH campus connect with other drivers (or transit users) who wouldn’t otherwise know that they’re taking the same route to work, and sitting alongside one another in traffic. Over 80 HA staff have signed up to CARPOOL to VGH so far. The potential for you to connect with a few ride share allies is higher than it’s ever been.
