Natasha gives a “thumbs up” to the Won Vancouver 50/50 Staff Lottery

Thumbs up from our June ‘Won’ Vancouver 50/50 Staff Lottery winners!

Two lucky winners say “yes” to $6,600 just in time for summer fun!

The end of June brought school kids’ cheers as well as some happy news to two lucky 50/50 ‘Won’ Vancouver Staff Lottery winners! Our June winners are Mark Leemhuis, Facilities staff at Squamish General Hospital, and Natasha Miscevic, Administration Supervisor at Venture Crisis Home in Vancouver.

Congratulations to our two lucky winners who received around $6,600 each.

So what are they going to do with the cash? Here’s what our winners had to say:

Natasha

What does winning the 50/50 lottery mean to you?

Great timing – just in time for summer holidays! I’m also happy to continue to contribute to the VGH Foundation: every bit counts!

What are you going to spend your winnings on?

I’m planning to surprise my family with a trip to Disneyland! It’s been a challenging year, and this will be a great way to get some relief and spend some fun (and probably busy!) time with my family.

Mark

What does winning the 50/50 lottery mean to you?

My first thought – it was certainly the best work-related phone call I’ve ever received!

What are you going to spend your winnings on?

I’m going to put it aside, and let time reveal something fun to do. I’m also going to help out a local cause – the SPCA is a favourite organization of mine.

The next 50/50 Staff Lottery is July 29

What would you do with your winnings? There are two (or three) chances to win every month (depending on the corresponding pay periods) and you only need to sign up once to participate. The more tickets sold means the larger the winnings for staff and more funding for the Foundation. To date, $103,351 has been donated thanks to our staff.
