What’s your bike’s home away from home?

Cycling to VGH? You have several options for securely storing your bike during a work shift.

Bike racks best for quick visits

Bike racks are located across the VGH campus (typically near entry doors). These are recommended for visitors or staff making quick visits. The most popular racks are located along the southern stretch of Laurel Street at W. 12th Avenue, where several new racks have been installed on the east side of the street across from the Starbucks. While working, staff are encouraged to use one of the more secure facilities.

Bike cage access is easy

Bike cages are located inside many of the buildings and parkades around VGH. These cages are free with a swipe of your Health Authority ID badge to unlock the door mechanism – but, first, you’ll have to register your ID.

Two bike cages are located on W. 12th Avenue (N-side: ground floor entry of Jim Pattison Pavilion and S-side: ground floor of parkade). To activate your ID badge for access, complete a request via the following link: http://fhworkspaces/sites/PhotoIDAccessRequest/Pages/Form.aspx.

Note: If you already have an ID badge, simply fill in the required items (red *) and list the “Department” as the VGH Bike Cages.
