Vancouver Community Holiday Schedule

This holiday season, please encourage your clients to visit their local Community Health Centre for their non-emergent primary care needs, rather than going to the Emergency Department.
Aside from December 25, most CHCs and care services will be open, and some have even ramped up hours to accommodate clients’ needs during the holidays to hopefully avoid a surge in the ED at this time of year.
Some benefits for clients who choose a CHC visit over the ED for non-emergent cases include:
- Shorter wait times
- CHCs may be closer to home
- Less risk of infection
- The CHCs can access their case file more easily
- Sites have capacity for drop ins over the holidays
Below is a complete schedule of holiday hours to help you inform your patients/clients. If the client’s CHC is not open and the issue can’t wait then they are welcome to visit another CHC nearby.
