PARC wins 2017 Accessible City Award

The City of Vancouver has named iCORD’s Physical Activity Research Centre (PARC) winner of the 2017 Accessible City Award.

Located in the VGH Blusson Spinal Cord Centre, PARC is the first centre of its kind in Canada, featuring an innovative research gym equipped with fully-accessible, state-of-the-art exercise equipment.

PARC is led by ICORD researchers and a PARC Advisory Committee made up of members from ICORD, GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre, Spinal Cord Injury BC and the UBC School of Kinesiology Outreach Program.

Congratulations to all for your outstanding leadership in enhancing accessibility, inclusion and the elimination of barriers to full participation for persons with disabilities.
