Election day in BC is coming to VGH!

Tuesday, May 9, 2017, is general election day for the BC provincial election. Staff and visitors expecting to be at VGH on this day are encouraged to vote at an advance poll or to visit their regular polling station in their electoral district to vote. For those who can’t do either, the following will be available on May 9.

For inpatients

A bedside voting process will take place for VGH inpatients who want to vote on May 9. Elections BC voting officers will visit the acute care inpatient units starting at 9:45 am on Tuesday, May 9.

For staff and visitors

A polling station will be in the Diamond Family Courtyard on the ground floor of the VGH Jim Pattison Pavilion for staff and visitors unable to vote in advance or visit their regular polling station on election day. Voting hours in the courtyard will be 8 am to 8 pm on May 9. To vote, staff and visitors will need their driver’s licence or two pieces of identification with at least one showing their current address.
