One Country, One Film Festival raises more than $130,000 for Sheway!

The One Country, One Film Festival raised more than $130,000 in support of VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation, with funds going to Sheway.

Held on June 23rd and 24th at the Vancity Theatre, D2D Destiny (a philanthropic youth organization) organized a film festival which included several short films from around the world that explored the theme of humanity.

The films included Jail Quarters (France), 17 Anos Juntos (Spain), Coat Check Lady (Russia), A Trip with Mom (Taiwan) and many more.

The funds will go towards the purchase of a new vehicle to provide outreach services to families.

A big thank you to D2D Destiny and everyone who attended the festival, engaging in a rich conversation about the meaning of humanity and how we can each make a difference by seeking to understand one another.
