Tell us what you do at VCH in one or two sentences:
I provide the “will do” attitude in paging for the emergency department, wards and physicians. I connect friends and loved ones to patients throughout the hospital.
What’s your favourite thing about your work?
I work with a great bunch of ladies and gents, long-term tenure and new, who always put their best foot forward.
How does your work contribute to the VCH True North goals?
Communications is key in my job, connecting to hospitals throughout the Lower Mainland. Switchboard services is the first point of contact and we will get you to where you need to go and help you navigate through the hospital to your location.
One thing we might be surprised to learn about you:
I’m a children’s book writer. I have two books in the works, but one has been rejected. I also published a short story on the Macleans Magazine website called “My Canadian Moment.”
Three things you always have in your fridge:
Greens, fruit and wine.
What makes you happy?
Spending time in the great outdoors is one of my favourite things to do.
Most healthy habit:
I juice the “Mean Green and Pineroot” daily.
Favourite vacation spot:
Hawaii.
