I oversee the daily operations of the Cardiology Department. We are an inpatient and out patient facility.

What’s your favourite thing about your work?
My favourite thing about cardiology technology is the patient interaction.

How does your work contribute to the VCH True North goals?
As a technologist, people have always come first; my goal has always been to provide the best health care possible. As a profession, we are involved in the diagnosis, treatment and follow up care of our patients. As a supervisor, I see my staff exemplify these characteristics. I am also pleased to note that our students arrive for their practicums with these values.

One thing we might be surprised to learn about you:
I have had the opportunity to work in three provinces in hospitals and private clinics.

Three things you always have in your fridge:
Cheese, milk and salad fixings.

What makes you happy?
Getting together with friends and sharing a bottle of wine.

Most healthy habit:
Walking. I find it is a great way to transition from work to home.

Favourite vacation spot:
Definitely Mexico.
