Tell us what you do at VCH in one or two sentences:
My primary role is to provide analysis and reporting for VCH for all of the HR systems. I also work on a variety of projects such as the staff email project, implementation of HR systems as well as active transportation projects such as the VGH Cycling Centre.
What’s your favourite thing about your work?
I get to bring my creativity to my job.
How does your work contribute to the VCH True North goals?
Most of what I work on relates to building the best workforce. Whether it relates to long term projections of how many nurses we will need in 20 years or whether I am supporting staff wellness through active transportation projects.
One thing we might be surprised to learn about you:
I have a degree in theatre as well as mathematics and worked for 10 years after graduating university creating theatrical works!
Three things you always have in your fridge:
Cut up onions, celery and leeks ready for use in soups, sauces and stews.
Who or what inspires you?
Bee Bulandus inspires me every day with her kind and welcoming words and her hugs. My son Felix inspires me and encourages me to ride to work with him in the trailer.
Most healthy habit:
Cycling to work.
Favourite vacation spot:
The greenhouse in my garden.
