Almost four months.

Tell us what you do at VCH in one or two sentences:
I help support fundraising initiatives, as well as help raise awareness for the Foundation. We support the purchase of much-needed medical equipment, facility upgrades, staff education and research here at Lions Gate Hospital. Plus, I’m the voice behind the Foundation’s social media channels!

What’s your favourite thing about your work?
Seeing the generosity of our community first-hand. From our donors, to all our dedicated volunteers, it’s amazing to see people come together to help improve healthcare for our community.

How does your work contribute to the VCH True North goals?
At Lions Gate Hospital Foundation, we’re dedicated to enhancing patient care. We do this by supporting facility and equipment upgrades, and supporting the education of our amazing LGH staff.

One thing we might be surprised to learn about you:
I competed in the Red Bull Crashed Ice World Championships this past March. If you don’t know what Crashed Ice is, it’s basically snowboard cross on skates. I have a bit of a need for speed, so it was something I had always hoped to do. It was ridiculously fun!

Three things you always have in your fridge:
Apples, almond milk, and BBQ sauce. I love BBQ sauce.

Who or what inspires you?
Our amazing volunteers who contribute so much to our organization, a good book, and Taylor Swift (she just seems to have it all together!).

Most healthy habit:
CrossFit! And smiling at least 500 times a day.

Favourite vacation spot:
My parents have a little place in Qualicum Beach. They have this amazing couch where I can read an entire book in one go and grab a great nap.
