Tell us what you do at VCH in one or two sentences:
I work with the great group of addiction physicians and other addiction team staff to try to provide the best evidence-based care to individuals struggling with tobacco, alcohol and illicit drug addiction.
What’s your favourite thing about your work?
Through evidence-based care, people struggling with addiction can have remarkable recovery. This makes the work really rewarding. The work also attracts a certain type of person in health care and so it is generally a great overall team approach.
How does your work contribute to the VCH True North goals?
We certainly have a patient-first approach that seeks to balance patient needs, public health and best evidence.
One thing we might be surprised to learn about you:
I once represented Canada in the sport of Ultimate Frisbee.
Three things you always have in your fridge:
Peanut butter, chocolate, and milk.
Who or what inspires you?
My kids.
Most healthy habit:
Swimming.
Favourite vacation spot:
Tofino.
