Tell us what you do at VCH in one or two sentences:
I am an occupational therapist at Richmond Lions Manor Bridgeport. I also do casual work at Minoru Residence, Richmond Hospital, and the Healthy Heart Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at Richmond Hospital.
What’s your favourite thing about your work?
My favorite thing about my work is seeing the smiling faces of the residents when I greet them. We have an amazing team at Richmond Lions Manor, which makes it easy to come to work everyday.
How does your work contribute to the VCH True North goals?
I am able to use innovative interventions to provide the best care possible for our residents. We are currently using P.I.E.C.E.S., DementiAbility Montessori Methods, Gentle Persuasive Approach, and CLeAR to continually improve our care at Richmond Lions Manor Bridgeport.
One thing we might be surprised to learn about you:
I wanted to be a professional tennis player.
Three things you always have in your fridge:
I always have three different kinds of hot sauce in my fridge.
Who or what inspires you?
My dad inspires me. He taught me to always be thankful and happy in all circumstances.
Most healthy habit:
My most healthy habit is hugging my two daughters everyday. I also love playing sports. I am currently playing volleyball, tennis, softball, and I ski in the winter.
Favourite vacation spot:
My favorite vacation spot is Hawaii. I will never forget the memories in Kona on the Big Island.
