Tell us what you do at VCH in one or two sentences:
I provide pediatric care to babies and children at Richmond Hospital in the Child Health Centre, Emergency, Birth Centre and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. I also provide leadership to the Pediatric team at VCH including participating in Public Health initiatives like the trampoline safety initiative.


What’s your favourite thing about your work?
Opening the new Short Stay Pediatric Unit, new Birth Centre, and new NICU at Richmond Hospital, all since I arrived here.


Which True North goal does your work contribute to the most?
Provide the best care


One thing we might be surprised to learn about you:
I used to have a weekly television segment on Global Morning News in Edmonton.


Three things you always have in your fridge:
Homemade hummus, Elman’s hot mustard, fresh fruit


Who or what inspires you?
Children – my daughters and my patients – every day.


Most healthy habit:
Long distance running.


Favourite vacation spot:
Wailea Beach
