How long have you worked at VCH?
Four weeks
Tell us what you do at VCH in one or two sentences:
Learn about the important and fascinating work being done throughout Vancouver Coastal Health and share it with the public.
What’s your favourite thing about your work?
The best is yet to come but the way my team has welcomed me to the fold and helped me transition into my new role has been incredibly heartening.
Which True North goal does your work contribute to the most?
Promote better health for our communities
One thing we might be surprised to learn about you:
I once piloted a plywood biplane off a barge in False Creek as part of the Red Bull Flugtag. I didn’t fly very far.
Three things you always have in your fridge:
1. Pickled bourbon jalapenos
2. More types of mustard than I can count
3. Usually some kind of sausage from a Polish deli dropped off by my parents.
Who or what inspires you?
My wife. We’ve been together our entire adult lives and make a great team.
Most healthy habit:
Trying to stay active, whether it’s through soccer, snowboarding, cycling or just taking public transit and walking everywhere.
Favourite vacation spot:
I’ve only been to El Nido in the Philippines once, but wouldn’t complain if I could go back over and over again. Paradise.
