Tell us what you do at VCH in one or two sentences:
Primarily repair, inspect, maintain and modify surgical instruments, tools and devices for VGH and UBC Hospital. Also, provide support for all LMBE sites for special mechanical project initiatives that require custom made component and fabrication skills.
What’s your favourite thing about your work?
I just generally appreciate working in an environment where the day to day philosophy and focus is ultimately about the well-being and care of people, rather than trying to maximize profits and create value for shareholders.
Which True North goal does your work contribute to the most?
Innovate for sustainability
One thing we might be surprised to learn about you:
I have never owned a smart phone.
Three things you always have in your fridge:
Water. Apples. Eggs.
Who or what inspires you?
Polite strangers and people being kind to one another.
Most healthy habit:
Walking over 1 hour a day.
Favourite vacation spot:
Sunshine coast in the summer time.
