A Q & A with Director of Mental Health and Addiction Anne McNabb about InSite.

The surgical teams at Lions Gate Hospital have been recognized for the quality of surgical care they provide by the American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP)

Over the past few months, we’ve made great strides in many areas and experienced challenges in others. The number of people seeking care from us will remain high so it’s important we continue to focus on improving time to care for patients, improving quality outcomes, and supporting safe patient transition from acute care to home and community.

Local musician Bodhi Jones will perform at a charity fundraiser concert on September 25 in support of the mental health campaign at VGH.

Response rates were 40 % and 20% respectively, and included comments like this one: “She emphasized how important it is to look after myself and I told her about what I do to keep fit. The phone call was meaningful, and the friendly voice and interest was a lovely surprise.”

As health care providers work to create acceptance and compassion for those suffering from mental illness, our approach to privacy needs to shift as well.

Yesterday’s Lions Gate Hospital Foundation’s 2013 Staff BBQ was a resounding success, putting smiles on the faces of all who attended while raising more than $3600 for the hospital’s Nuclear Medicine Campaign!
