Please join me in congratulating the eASI project team for reaching its goal to implement the integrated ESP scheduling (Environment for Scheduling Personnel) and WTK Timekeeping (Workforce Timekeeper) system and Regional Staffing Service across VCH! The project was completed on time and under budget, with the final roll out (Sechelt and Sunshine Coast departments) going live on November 23rd, 2012. Thank you as well to all of our customers, stakeholders and Regional Staffing Service staff for your continued support.

What’s eASI?
The new system, processes, and service are enabling VCH to move to more proactive and consistent scheduling practices to reduce overtime, more accurate timekeeping and more detailed and timely reporting. As Anne Harvey, Vice President of Employee Engagement explains, “This is a huge milestone for our organization which has enabled more efficient staffing and laid the foundation for future staffing initiatives based on the data we can now pull from the eASI system.”

The eASI team
The eASI team’s accomplishments prove that any organizational goal can be achieved with hard work and dedication. It has been a pleasure working with this team which truly defines the definition of team: a group of people with a full set of complementary skills required to complete a project – and we did!

“I am so proud of the work you have done to make this implementation a success. It goes to show what can be accomplished with a high performing team. You have taken a vision and turned it into a reality – congratulations!” said Duncan Campbell, chief financial officer and executive sponsor for the project.

What’s next for eASI?
The board has recently approved the eASI project team to continue working on optimization, which includes an upgrade to our Kronos ESP/WTK system and implementing employee self service for scheduling requests – stay tuned!
