Important information about applying for internal job postings

Applying to an internal job posting? Recruitment Services handles thousands of applications each year, and to maintain service levels to managers and staff and fill vacancies as quickly as possible, here are some important points you should remember:

  • Recruitment Services only forwards complete applications to managers for their internal postings. A completeapplication must always include the full six digit posting number and the 3-letter extension(e.g., “045121-msh”). You should also include the six digit posting number and the 3-letter extension in the subject line of your email if you are applying via email.
  • Recruitment will contact you only once if there is something missing from your application, and will advise what’s missing. You are still required to complete and resubmit your application within the time the posting is open.
  • You can either attach your current resume, or complete the Qualifications, Education and Experience sections right on the form.
  • As an employee of VCH, you are an internal applicant and should always use the internal application form when you apply to a posting, regardless of whether you apply on an internal posting on our internal site (http://staffpostings.vch.ca/), or on an external posting that is on the external site (careers.vch.ca).
