Richmond Accreditation 2013: High participation rates in self assessment surveys

Over 50 different teams in Richmond have been hard at work completing self assessments in preparation for our next accreditation site visit, scheduled for November 24-29, 2013. We have had great staff participation, averaging 65%, with some teams as high as 100%. Thank you for the impressive staff participation in completing the online self-assessment surveys!

To learn where we are in the validation process, and what our next steps will be, we invite you to read Issue 1 of our Richmond Accreditation Newsletter, which covers:

•           Highlights from the self-assessment surveys and validation sessions

•           Preview of action planning

•           Our one-stop shop online resource for accreditation-related information

You’ll also meet the members of the Accreditation Support Team who will help your team every step of the journey.

On November 24-29, 2013, Richmond Community of Care will be hosting a team of surveyors from Accreditation Canada, who will review our clinical programs and services throughout the continuum.  As surveyors visit our care areas and talk with our interdisciplinary staff, physicians, patients and families, they will be particularly interested in how we have progressed on the strengths and areas for improvement that we identified in 2010.
