Dr. Andrew Krahn, an internationally recognized expert in cardiac arrhythmias, is joining Vancouver Coastal Health – as a cardiac surgeon and researcher, implanting heart rhythm devices and conducting research in this area, and as the Head of the VGH Pacemaker Clinic.

A community protest took place outside one of VCH’s Vancouver offices yesterday afternoon. As a result, the following note was sent to all Vancouver Community staff and we are sharing it across the organization to help address any questions that may arise.

And new this year is the Everyday Champion Award, the winner of which will be determined by online voting.

MS patients sometimes experience ‘natural’ improvements in disability – at least over the short term – according to a new study led by Dr. Helen Tremlett, research scientist with the UBC Hospital MS Clinic and MS Clinical Trials Group at VCH and UBC. The study, published in this month’s Multiple Sclerosis Journal, is the first to quantify improvements in disability in patients who are not taking immunomodulatory drugs.
